What CAQH ProView does
CAQH ProView allows providers to enter and maintain professional information that authorized health plans and other participating organizations can use in credentialing and related administrative workflows. It does not replace every payer-specific application or contract.
Typical credentialing file components
- Education and training.
- Professional licenses and controlled-substance registrations when applicable.
- Board certification information when applicable.
- Practice locations and hospital affiliations.
- Professional liability coverage information.
- Work history, disclosures and supporting documents requested by the system or payer.
Attestation matters
CAQH guidance requires providers to periodically re-attest that profile information is accurate. Current CAQH user guidance describes re-attestation every 120 days for most providers, with a different interval for Illinois providers. Organizations should follow current CAQH instructions because system rules can change.
Good data-management habits
Calendar expirations
Track licenses, insurance and other time-limited documents before they expire.
Re-attest after updates
Complete the required attestation so authorized organizations can receive the updated information.
Match payer data
Compare payer rosters and enrollment records with the provider's current source data.
Quick knowledge check
Does CAQH eliminate all payer-specific forms?
No.
Why track expiring documents?
Expired or outdated documents can delay credentialing or require additional payer follow-up.
What should happen after material profile updates?
